Rock, Paper, Snap! Invites children and their families in Bankstown to explore connection to place and people through photography. Guided and supported by local artists, students and their families will take part in creative activities that draw on the experiences and assets associated with living in Bankstown, strengthening their community-mindedness, collaboration skills, connections and creativity.
Participants will receive a point and shoot digital camera and a printed book of the collaborative photographic works, launched at a community celebration at Utp (RS1).

Key Creatives
Chanel Biala
Chanel Biala (she/her) is a Filipino-Australian creative based in Liverpool and Parramatta. From doing videography and photography with local government and organisations to writing and directing her own short films, a predominant theme that occurs through her work is her love for Western Sydney. Inspired by her culture and surrounding diverse community, she likes to explore themes of coming-of-age, identity and belonging through a fun, bright and colourful lens. At a young age, Chanel found her love for photography and videography and as a result, she aims to encourage and foster the creative visions and interests of young people.
