Join us in sharing the love with artists to support them to slow down and create new work. We are raising $25k to help fund projects by artists from historically marginalised backgrounds who have rich, unflinching and honest experiences to share.
We are investing in two major projects that focus on relationship building between artists and organisations.
Your support will allow us to take these programs to Phase Two.
The Projects:
A Season of Care is series of events, residencies and talks with care, in all its forms, at the centre. Care as conceptual rationale and as collective provocation.
Artists include: Paula Do Prado, Naomi Segal, Alex Craig, Imogen Yang, Ju Bavyka, Tania Khouri, Debra Keenahan, Aimée Falzon
This fund will allow us to bring artists together for a second time in October 2023 and seed new, related projects in 2024.
Counterflows is a 10-month program with 5 artists from Victoria and 5 artists from New South Wales. The 10 month program travels between Bankstown, Sharjah UAE and Naarm (Melbourne). In September the project will culminate with a week at Arts House in Naarm (Melbourne).
This fund will help get all the Western Sydney artists to Melbourne in September and in 2024 seed new co-commissions with Arts house.
Artists include: Paola Balla, Eugenia Lim, Roberta Joy Rich, Jody Haines, Gillian Kayrooz, Jagath Dheerasekara, Akil Ahamat, Tarik Ahlip, Eddie Abd, Samira Farah
