Nothing makes sense, yet everything is interconnected.
Existential Bread, first conceived in mid 2020, is a multi dimensional exploration of Dream Sequence artist Ayebatonye Abrakasa's understanding of the idiom ‘life is but a dream’ as it relates to her Blackness, capitalism, colonialism, afrofuturism, ancestral dreaming and the digital realm.
Existential Bread is a film that contends to be the antithesis to existentialism, arguing that there is no such thing as free will in a world where freedom doesn’t exist.
