Dharug Collective

Dharug Collective is a Custodian specific development program in Western Sydney, that begins with invitations to Dharug practitioners living On and Off Country.

 

Through a series of workshops, we will host space for participants to present conversations and ideas, with the aim of in a process of building relationships and development of practice. Utp has a 10 year aspiration for this practice development project.

ACTIVITIES

  • Closed workshop sessions with invited Dharug practitioners to codesign a program of development
  • Identify practice development needs in key areas, e.g. writing, performance and visual art
  • Group mentoring and one-on-one mentoring
  • Starlight session at the Blacktown Native Institute site

The Dharug Collective is a part of a suite of year-long programs supporting First Nations-led experimental art. Utp’s 2024 provocation First and Last affirms our strong commitment to First Nations Peoples having the first and last word, now and into the future.
