Yarning with Uncle Christopher KirkbrightJoin us for a special Wiradjuri language workshop with Uncle Christopher Kirkbright.
Uncle Chris is a Senior Wiradjuri Elder and one of the pioneers of the contemporary Wiradjuri language speaking renaissance.
He will guide us through the language within the songs of Garabari by Joel Bray, connecting words, movement and meaning.
Uncle Chris is the Project Elder of Garabari, offering deep cultural oversight and insight throughout the creative process. This contemporary performance work honours collective authorship and community, reminding us that like all ceremony the story belongs to everyone.
