General Manager Pathways

General Manager Pathways is a course for arts workers, artists, or anyone interested in the role of General Manager in the arts, and pathways to get there.  

 

Led by Utp’s General Manager, Hareen Johl, the course will provide an approachable environment for participants to get to know the components of the role and network. 

Industry guest facilitators will be invited to the sessions to expand on relevant topics and share their path to becoming a General Manager.

16 Sep: Operations - Online

23 Sep: HR - Online

Guest Presenter: Vanessa Lloyd, CEO, Performance Space

(2 week break)

14 Oct: Finance - Online

Guest Presenter: Kayur Shrestha, Head of Finance and Administration, Arts & Cultural Exchange (ACE)

21 Oct: Regulatory - Online

Guest Presenter: Julieanne Campbell, Executive Director & Co-CEO, Griffin Theatre Company

28 Oct: Course Wrap - In person, Bankstown
